Index Islamicus Print

New books, articles and reviews on Islam and the Muslim world

Edited by C.H. Bleaney and others

Index Islamicus Journal

In the Index Islamicus printed journal format subscribers are kept informed on the latest additions to the bibliographical database through three advance issues a year, followed by a bulky Yearbook. The advance issues present users with information as assembled throughout the year. Most publications listed will be on the preceding year, but often the reader will find materials published in the current year. These three advance issues are published in the second half of the subscription year. The ensuing Yearbook, issued in the year following the subscription year (but part of the subscription) then assembles all Index Islamicus items listed from a given publication year.

Example: Printed journal subscription year 2006:

  • publication of three advance issues in September, November and December 2005
  • publication of Yearbook "2005" in July 2007, featuring all 2005 publications

The experts on Index Islamicus:

'...this is as important an addition to Middle Eastern bibliography as was the first printed volume when it appeared 40 years ago... '

'...a boon of inestimable value to all scholars and students of the Middle East... '
